About Three Shadows
Three Shadows Photography Art Centre
Three Shadows Photography Art Centre, located in Beijing’s Caochangdi Art District, was established in 2007 as the first photography center in China dedicated exclusively to contemporary photography. It was founded by Chinese photographer RongRong and Japanese photographer inri. Since its inception, Three Shadows has developed into a leading platform for the presentation, promotion, discovery, and international exchange of outstanding photographic expression in China.
Three Shadows operates two main locations: one in Beijing and another in Xiamen, Fujian Province.
In addition to its exhibition spaces, Three Shadows is equipped with the following facilities and functions:
• +3 Gallery, which introduces both emerging and international photographers,
• Printing and production facilities for photographic creation,
• A library with an extensive collection (located in Xiamen),
• Educational programs specializing in photography,
• A bookstore featuring specialized publications,
• A café space for visitors to relax and interact.
Three Shadows continues to play a vital role at the forefront of Chinese photography, serving as a bridge between China and the global photographic community.

Directions: Just off of the Airport Service Road (Jichang Fulu), outside the fifth ring road. Heading towards the airport, turn right after passing Nan Gao railroad bridge, after about 10 meters take a left. Free Parking.
